A flower to hold earrings, and rings. A decoration for the bedside table that is pretty and functional. Rings can go on the tray, or in the middle of the petals. There are enough holes for 30 pairs of earrings.
Full size is 166.8 x 166.5 x 133.4 mm, and takes about 20.5 hours to print. (See screen images for Cura setup.)
At 60%, holes are 2mm diameter and bounding box is 100.1 x 99.9 x 80.1 mm, bringing print time down to about 6.3 hours.
Grey image is from MeshLab.
Being printed on a Cocoon filament printer, in translucent purple ABS (photos now attached). Usability tester said it is just a bit fragile, especially around the stem. Well, it was dropped on a tiled floor and broke at both top and bottom of stem. It's glued back together (ABS in acetone), so the prototype is quite usable again.
There's an update with a thicker stem: see 'earring holder 3' (https://www.myminifactory.com/object/44723).

The petals need support when printing. Be careful when removing the support material since the stem support is not very strong. Even though part of the support fell over during first print (at 60 percent size), the final object was still a successful print. The photos show the story, and the final object now only needs a light sanding to remove the last marks from the support.
