Filament spool mount and hanging storage solution
Made to be mounted on a wall or rack behind a printer for direct feeding and easy of storage.
3 objects - main hanger and two accessories: a locking end cap and a dowel mount.
dowel mount:
- You can use any size of dowel but this particular hanger can fit up to a 32mm/1.25in dowel
- fits spools sizes up to 110mm/4.25in radius by 70mm/2.5in wide with holes bigger than 44.5mm/1.75in
printing time (with my print settings):
- the hanger: about 9-12hrs 16.8meters
- the end cap: about 1.5hrs 1.97meters,
- the dowel mounts: about 2hrs 3.9meters each.

I just did these a quick utilitarian prints so mine are not as pretty as they could be. My settings; using an ultimaker 2 with 3mm abs .2 layer height 1.6mm walls/top/bottom (this is where most of the strength of the piece comes from.) 20% grid infill density (you might be able to get away with less, but its a good fill to prevent pillowing) support is not necessary for the hanger and dowel mount. I would recommend everywhere support for the end cap for 90 degree overhangs it will only end up in the locking channel. I also used 15 lines of brim but that's just me.
