This is a cast of an original sculpture of Diadumenos, it is considered one of the most famous figural types of the sculpture Polyclitus. This, alongside the sculpture of Venus (also uploaded on Scan The World), is also meant to present the idealised representations of young male athletes. It can be found at the Louvre in Paris, France.
