Following the success of last year's travel competition we have decided to give you another opportunity to have your trip of a lifetime paid for, courtesy of MyMiniFactory and Scan the World!

To be in with a chance of winning this incredible prize all you need to do is scan a sculpture in your area and submit it alongside a short written proposal of where you'd like to travel to

Once you've taken the photos zip them up (select them all, right click on one photo and click "add to archive", you will need WinRAR or winzip installed) include thet text about your ideal adventure and submit them using the button at the bottom of this page.

There is no limit to the amount of sculptures you can scan; the winner will be chosen at random so the more sculptures you enter, the more chances you'll have to win!

One lucky winner of this competition will receive a cash prize to help fund their travels to their chosen destination! You will be a spokesperson for Scan the World, documenting your trip and supplying more scans of sculptures that you find along the way - a scanbassador if you will!

Easy! Using a method called photogrammetry all you need to do is walk around the sculpture and take a photograph every step. You can use a smartphone or any sort of camera to scan!

You need around 50 photographs for an ideal scan; To learn more about the process watch the video below or follow this link.

Last year Renaud Delaquis, a student, artist and general travel enthusiast was our winner who decided on a road trip across America from his hometown in Ottowa, Canada!

He kept a log of his adventures and supplied us with a healthy supply of scans. Every week we will release one of his daily entries on the MyMiniFactory blog as well as some of the sculptures he found along the way. Follow his entries on our blog here!

Renaud's winning scan was of Maurice Richard, captured at the Jacques Cartier Park in Quebec, Canada - download it here!
