LEO's robot friend Claude-8 worked with a chef named Emilie to create a special dish that's a chess set made of 3D printed cheese. Carla and her team collaborated with Cornell University's Creative Machines Lab to develop forms that would work best with a food printer.
Chess pieces are solid and "2.5D" (not overhangs) so that they print in FDM cheese without sagging.
Instructions
These files can be printed with a very sparse fill to save on material.
You'll need the following quantities to make one complete set in one color:
(6) pawn
(2) rooke
(2) bishop
(2) knight
(1) king
(1) queen
...or print the chess_set_complete file to have all the pieces.
Claude-8 is a special robot who can print pieces made out of cheese, but if your printer uses plastic, then you won't be able to eat these pieces at home!
