Welcome back to Sicily!
Another great model created by MiniWorld 3D collaborator Manfredi Laguardia from @3dlayerup
The Politeama theater is located in Piazza Ruggero Settimo, right in the center of Palermo. The name comes from the Greek "πολύς" (polis; many) and "θεάομαι" (theamai; to watch).
The building is an important example of Neoclassical architecture. It has a large entrance by way of a thriumphal arch topped by a bronze quadriga (chariot) designed by Mario Rutelli.
The value of this structure lies on its main usage, as a “theater of the people” (that could hold up to 5 thousand people back in 1874).
MiniWorld 3D is excited to bring this historical model to life as a homage to all the people of Sicily. Please give credit, it's all about spreading culture and education!
