Description
This marble sculpture is from the Hellenistic era. It is typical from this period through a few elements: the curly hair and the round features of the face. Greek sculpture was mainly dedicated to deities, that is why one may suppose this statue may represent a Goddess or a divine creature such as a nymph.
Part of the Antiquities Sale on the 5th of July 2017 at Christie's London, King Street.
