Roman War-Galley, Bireme.
By Iain Lovecraft
3d Printable(3DP) 28mm scale.
A historically accurate design built to 28mm scale for use with your miniatures in your tabletop games.
All its modules can be printed with a standard print bed(220mm) does not need supports to print and its 6 pieces are easily assembled to compose the ship. The top deck and sail is removable for access to the top and lower deck(inside), so it can be used for rpg games.
There is a tremendous attention to detail which means that not only is it a great piece to use in your table top games, but it can be painted and finished as a historic display piece.
Some of its artistically finished details include, its Naval ram. At the front of the Bireme is a double ram comprised of a bottom and top ram. The bottom ram which has a lion sculpt on it symbolises Hercules, from the 'Twelfth Tasks of Hercules', and is used to strike the enemy ship under the water level. The top ram has a sculpt of Mars - Ares with a representative rams horn symbol which also serves the purpose of ramming enemy ship at deck level and enabling allied combatants to scale and board the enemy ship.
