This is based on Japanese sliding puzzle boxes. I designed this originally as a wood project but it scales really well for 3d printing. You have to slide the panels in order to reveal the secret key to open the box. You can also add a hinge to the box if you want, I have used this hinge before https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-hinge-26534. Try to see if your friends can get inside this box and find hidden treasures. Look through the images to see how to solve the puzzle. I sadly don't have a functioning camera to show the 3d printed version or full sized wood version. I used super glue to assemble the box and to hold non-sliding pieces in place. Light sanding may be needed to make parts slide and fit nicely.
You will need to print 2 of each of the following pieces; (Core) inside right (this forms both sides of the core box), (Front) mid right, (Front) mid panel, (Left Side) mid.
I oriented everything so that it did not need supports but I did print with a brim to help keep everything down. I printed at 0.2 resolution and 15% infill, using PLA. I scaled it down to 20%, the full sized wood version is end table sized.

there are many pieces to print, i printed it scaled by 20% of the original stl files, and the pieces fits strictly. I suggest to print it bigger or modify the files to make better junction points without sanding.
