Here you can see the rubber band for the wings. There is another one that pulls the opening/closing gear forward.

I am newbee at 3d printing. This is my first project with multiple parts. I printed it on a Balco 3dprinter which I bought at Aldi. Not a high-end 3d printer but I was surprised by the result. All by all very happy. Thanks Aitor for sharing the design. Photo's are with the original x-wing fighters which I bought when I was small and still have with the original figures. Just to compare the result.

I finished my model, however the canopy needs to be reprinted and I also need to print R2D2 and a pilot. Such a great model, thanks for sharing your talents Aitor.

Thanks So much for releasing this design. Printed on CR6-SE which I have only had for 2 months for my nephews’ birthday. Had a lot of fun building and painting this. For anyone wanting to give it a go here are the details and stats of my Print: • Cura 4.9, Standard Quality 0.2m, 20% infill, 7mm Raft – No supports • PLA+ - White & Silk Silver (Cockpit) • Total Parts: 48 • Time: o Print: 152hrs o Construction 1.5hrs o Paint: 5hrs • Filament Weight: 918g • Filament Length: 305.35m • Printing groups (Showing part number and time) • Print 1: 1, 2, 3, 6 – 23.5hrs • Print 2: 8x2, 9x2 – 47.3hrs • Print 3: 10x4,12,14,15,19,20,21,22 – 19.1 hrs • Print 4: 4, 5, 16x4, 17x4, - 27hrs • Print 5: 11, 13, 18, 27 – 15hrs • Print 6: 7, 23x4, 24x4, 25x4 = 15hrs • Print 7: 26 = 5.1 hrs Recommendations: All my parts were printed 20% infill, but I had a few breaks that I had to glue. If was to print this again I would make the following part numbers 100% infill to strengthen them, noting that this would increase the print time: 3, 4, 5, 16 (especially this part of all the others), 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 (Gives it added weight

Thanks a lot for your hard work. This is just an awesome model, the best i could find, quality, fun and simplicity, just perfect. I made just some minor (personal use) changes to the cockpit to fit an scale pilot with its propper flight joystick. PD: Downscaled to 55.91% to fit my other printed models.

Yes that's the idea. You need two rubber bands, one for the lever and one for the wings. Place first the rubber band and then insert the lever in it's position.

Then comes the second one that will tend to open the wings
