I am one of the few watchmakers qualified to degree level. For my degree masterpiece project I designed and made a clock using 3D printing as the main manufacturing technique. To support this I also 3D printed many tools and jigs. I came to Horology later in life having spent the majority of my working life as an IT consultant and relational database specialist. I have always been interested in model making and model engineering so 3D design and printing has been a logical extension of my interests. I am now exploring how additive manufacturing can be utilised in the field of Horology.
