MyMiniFactory, AutoDesk ReMake competition entry. From original 3D scanned animation puppet (for final year university course), processes to digital 3D model, for 3D printing (to use for animation). The inital idea was to use the 3D scan for use in virtual reality software, where the characteres or even the whole animation can be viewed in virtual reality, where the HTC Vive would be very beneficial to the project. The original design had extra parts which were not needed, like a box the character would stand on, various bumps and excess parts that needed removing and smoothing. Also, a hat and wand were added to enhance the characters personality. I would improve the way that I originally photographed the model, such as taking more care photographing the joints, as there was a lot to remove when it came to editing. I would also improve the texture in the future.
