Designed for the Tinkercad Easter contest this egg prints with a cute little bunny inside. The egg is designed to be easily cracked open to reveal an Easter Bunny Figurine (with articulated ears). The bunny does need a bit of cleaning up to get rid of the supports. You can see the bunny model by itself and also an 'X-Ray' view of how the bunny prints inside the egg in the pictures.
My model was only printed at 0.3mm as I had time constraints to get it done before leaving on holidays. It would look much better at 0.2mm or 0.1mm.
When I designed this I had plans for a surprise in a surprise!. If you pause the print when the bunny's body is about 2/3 printed you can fill the hollow body with some small Easter candies. In the completed print when you pull the bunny away from the egg the candy will fall out into the bottom part of the egg. Unfortunately, I did not have any candy handy when I printed it.
This object was made in Tinkercad. https://www.tinkercad.com/things/epVVTzGr09a
- The print requires support
- Using a raft creates a nice stand for it
- Print can be scaled to 70mm in height and still print successfully
